So I know I'm already a "weird" homeschooler, but people think I'm really weird when I get so excited about finding a great deal--on groceries. As many may know, I really enjoy couponing and grocery shopping for my family and so I was especially stoked when I got 12 packs (15 lb) of Jenny-O ground turkey meat AND 4 boxes Barilla pasta all for a grand total of $1.43!!!!!!!!!! I think my hard work in couponing is paying off... I was able to save my family $61.98 (94% total savings)!
Girls, learning to coupon is such a great homemaking skill to know! Just think how much you'll be able to bless your family now, and hopefully a family of your own some day! I still have SO MUCH more to learn about it all, but a great motivator for me has been a homeschool mom--Crystal Paine who has a very popular blog www.moneysavingmom.com about money saving tips and deals. Check it out, and start a coupon box. Please let me know if you need any help in getting started and I can try my best to help you out with the little I do know.
It's kind of like a game matching coupons with store specials, catalina deals, etc. It can definitely get overwhelming, so start off with something easy. It also can be very time consuming, so I'm not able to do it to it's full extent, but I'm learning slowly but hopefully surely! ;)
Warning: if you look under the age of 30 while shopping by yourself with a large coupon box, be prepared to get really weird stares! LOL
....... I have to admit, it can sometimes be really embarrassing but it's so worth it in the end! :)

HaHa ya I can just see the looks you must get sometimes. Hey, but that's some awesome couponing this time, I'm sure it's a blessing to your fam. especailly your mom. Marci
