We are so, so excited! We're not wasting any time on building and already have it scheduled to put our house pad down next week! Pray we won't have any complications along the way.....

And a special thanks to my dear sister Rebecca for taking these awesome pics! :) Check out her photo blog here:

  3. Your mom had asked me to pray about this some time ago- I'm so glad to hear that the Lord had answered prayers and your parents felt to move forward!!!! :) AWESOME!
The property is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW, wow, wow. Do you mind me asking how far out in the country are you moving?

Since I've moved out to the country near my parents (my couple of acres back up to thier 20+ acres and my sisters plot of land) we are talking about starting a family "farm" and getting some goats, lambs and maybe chickens together.......
We shall see. :) The lamb part sounds exciting though. :)

Can't wait to see more pictures soon!! Love and Hugs to you all....plenty of prayers too....and I'm sure this has your mom jumping up and down with joy- and YES! Tell your mom the way she was digging that hole said "COUNTRY GIRL" written all of that picture!!! *grin*

  4. Joshua: Nope, we haven't wasted any time thus far....I'm surprised things are moving so quickly! (especially for our family!) haha

Vanessa: Thank you! Rebecca took all of the photos. Have you seen her photo blog yet? You may enjoy it! :)

Anonymous: a house pad is a pad of dirt you build the house on.

Mrs. Cassandra: Thank you for your prayers and sweet comment!
And no, I don't mind at all you asking how far it is.... It's about 25-30 minutes from town which isn't too bad considering there is not much available. Especially 22 beautiful acres! It was such a blessing to get!

That's so neat you get to live so close to your parents! Let me know how the family farm goes! My dad wants to get some farm animals too.

Oh and yes, my mom is very excited! I will tell her that you said she is a COUNTRY GIRL for sure. ;)

Lots of love and blessings to you and you family!
    ~Michelle

P.S. My mom said to tell you that her pants weren't peg leg jeans, but very long capris! haha!

  6. Thanks for answering my questions. BTW, anonymous is me (desire') I just never heard the term 'house pad' used before, sorry. Are ya'll building on a cement foundation or?

  7. Anonymous: Haha! I didn't know it was you Des! How funny......okay, so your dad is a home builder, what does he call "house pads"?

Um, I think a cement foundation...I'll have to ask my dad to be sure, but I'll let you know if I told you wrong. :)

  8. I'll have to ask. Check out my house construction pics on Facebook. You can see how we built. We didn't use a cement foundation. We built our footers above ground and poured concrete in it. I'm not sure how to say that more 'professionally'.

  9. I meant we didn't build on a cement SLAB.
