WHAT. A. DAY.

Oh my.....what a day I've had! I don't know where to start....let's just say waking up this morning I had no idea I was going to have to nervously talk to two different police men at two different times today!

First off, I was riding home with my sister Lea, and I told her to slow down because we had just passed a school zone. Well, I guess she didn't slow down quick enough because before I knew it, I see lights flashing in the back of me with a police telling us to pull over.

THEN, Lea steps out of the car, starts talking to the police, (I'm waiting in the car) and I look out the window and Lea is crying (with mascara running down her face!) in front of the police!! He asked if Lea was nervous about something, and she had a meltdown right then and there in front of him telling him everything! I couldn't believe it!! But he was so nice to Lea and just gave her a warning. Then the police walks over to me and tells me not to be so nervous and starts joking with me asking if I just robbed a bank or if there is a warrant out for my arrest! I already felt stupid, but then he asks how old I was and I nervously told him 18......instead of 19!! He just laughed when I corrected myself. I think he felt really sorry for us! He also asked Lea how long she's been driving and didn't believe her when she told him she was 26 years old or that she's never been stopped before.

Okay, so we finally get home a little shaken up. I leave again to take Rebecca to ballet lessons, and to meet a friend. On my way there, I came *SO* close to running out of gas! (It was well below "E"). Very thankfully I made it to a gas station just in time, and was able to get Rebecca to her ballet lesson on time. :) (So far so good, right?)

Well, my friend and I did some shopping and on my way back to pick up my sis from ballet, my car decided to stop running right in the middle of a busy highway!! (I think this time it was over heating or something.) I could not believe this too, was happening to me today! Thankfully my dear friend was with me and helped calm me down. (I've never had car problems before!)

We got out of the car, and made some phone calls, and thankfully a policeman finally arrived to help us. Only he had to tow the car ASAP because it was blocking traffic! But I didn't have $75 to dish out! I was trying to get in touch with my dad who wasn't picking up his phone at the time. (Later found out he was working out at the Y and the phone was in the locker room.) So I nervously dialed numbers of other family members while the police was watching me, and really needed to move the car!

So, while my friend and I were waiting, the police tried to start our car again, and was able to get it going! So I pulled into the nearest gas station and my mom and Marianna finally came to the rescue!!!

Next thing, we had to hurry and pick Rebecca up from ballet as we were already terribly late. We call our insurance company to send a tow truck, but we had to wait 2 hrs before it finally arrived! So we wait, grab a bite to eat, and wait more, and it finally arrives! But come to find out, the tow truck is BROKEN!!! I just simply could not believe it! Poor Marianna was having to help the tow truck man as she drove it up the ramp!

We finally made it home safe and sound, and I'm so thankful the Lord protected us and blessed us (Lea and I both) with such incredibly nice police men! Looking back, I see so many of the amazing ways He was with us and I'm ever so grateful for His protection!

Although, it may not have been a fun day, it was an adventurous one indeed.

Hope you are all having a wonderful evening! And don't forget to thank the Lord for each new day.....you never know what a day may hold! :)

Blessings!
~Michelle
