Saturday we drove up to Austin for the TEA (taxed enough already) party. It was such a fun and memorable day being with family, meeting the famous "Joe the Plumber", hearing some excellent (and hilarious) speakers such as Steven Crowder and being able to tour the capitol. The minimum count of people that lined the steps of the State Capitol were over 2,300.
Here are some photos of the capitol.....

On our way to Austin.... we passed a lot of buses going to the TEA party....

Lea and I...
Here we had just arrived...
Joe The Plumber...

My dad and I are talking (or rather listening!) to Joe the Plumber. He was so nice.
L-R: me, Marianna, Dad, Rebecca, Joe, Mom, and Lea
L-R: me, Mom and Lea in the capitol.
Marianna and Mom....
My beautiful mom. :)
My sis Lea....
Me with my new cowgirl hat. :) On our way there, we had stopped at a gas station with a gift shop. I never thought I would wear a PINK cowgirl hat, none the less BUY one! But I love it now!
The crowds....
With friends, Hannah and Marci. :) (Geee! They make me look so short!) :-p

Aren't these stairs so mysterious!?! I LOVE them! I wish I had time while there to go up them, but they were at the tip top of the capitol. :)

That trip looks like it was so much fun! I think that it is just too neat that you got to meet "Joe the Plumber".
